We carry out technical advocacy at the national and international levels to promote best practices and evidence-based knowledge aimed at preventing and eradicating violence affecting children, adolescents, and women.

We strengthen the capacities of institutions and social organizations for the prevention, response, and support related to gender-based violence (GBV).
Technical Knowledge Development
We develop evidence-based technical knowledge and best practices for the comprehensive approach to violence prevention and response.
Psychosocial and Mental Health Support
We provide psychosocial and mental health support to individuals, families, and communities facing the risk or occurrence of violence against children and women.
Innovative Social and Community Interventions
We implement innovative social and community interventions to promote human rights and prevent and mitigate all forms of violence against children and women.

National Reach
GENFAMI has extensive experience at the national level in Colombia, where it has worked in 27 departments developing programs, research, strategy systematization, and social prevention and intervention projects on issues related to Sexual and Reproductive Rights and Health, Mental Health, and Gender-Based Violence.
We carry out our work in Colombia through an integrated local and national approach, actively participating in regional strategies and analytical processes across Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in global coordination and advocacy spaces.

GENFAMI has provided sexual and reproductive health services and guidance to more than 3,100 women and has engaged nearly 200 men in psychosocial processes aimed at preventing gender-based violence (GBV). Through interventions focused on children, adolescents, and women—especially in cases of sexual violence— the organization has reached 88% of Colombia’s departments.
