GENFAMI has extensive experience at the national level in Colombia, where it has worked in 27 departments developing programs, research, strategy systematization, and social prevention and intervention projects on issues related to Sexual and Reproductive Rights and Health, Mental Health, and Gender-Based Violence.
We carry out our work in Colombia through an integrated local and national approach, actively participating in regional strategies and analytical processes across Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in global coordination and advocacy spaces.

GENFAMI has provided sexual and reproductive health services and guidance to more than 3,100 women and has engaged nearly 200 men in psychosocial processes aimed at preventing gender-based violence (GBV). Through interventions focused on children, adolescents, and women—especially in cases of sexual violence— the organization has reached 88% of Colombia’s departments.

GENFAMI It is the only civil society organization from Latin America and the Caribbean in this global space. It contributes to high-level advocacy, coordination, and policy exchange processes with key humanitarian actors, with the aim of strengthening the prevention of and response to gender-based violence in emergency contexts. From there, she contributes her expertise in comprehensive protection, humanitarian coordination, and feminist leadership to strengthen the prevention of and response to gender-based violence in emergencies. Her participation includes developing global positions, technical recommendations, and promoting policies focused on the protection of women, girls, boys, and adolescents. in crisis contexts. 
National Coordination Space for the Prevention of and Response to GBV

National Co-Lead (UNFPA and UN Women Co-Leads) Provides technical guidance for national coordination efforts in preventing and responding to gender-based violence in humanitarian contexts. Represents GENFAMI as the first civil society organization in Latin America —and one of only eight globally— selected to be part of this coordination space, contributing to the development of inter-agency strategies, capacity-building processes, and tools aligned with global standards of VBG.
Community Participation Working Group – Flagship

Its objective is to transform humanitarian action, placing affected populations at the center of efforts and adjusting responses to meet their priorities. Civil Society Mechanism for the Development and Implementation of Colombia’s Feminist Foreign Policy

GENFAMI integrates the National Panel of Expert Organizations convened to support the construction and implementation of Colombia's Feminist Foreign Policy. From this space, it contributes a territorial, intersectional, and rights-based perspective, promoting the inclusion of voices from women-led organizations and local experiences in the design of international guidelines with a gender, peace, and global justice approach.
District Coordination Council for the Prevention and Response to Domestic, Sexual, and Gender-Based Violence, and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (CSEC)

GENFAMI It is part of the District Council as an expert organization in the prevention and care of gender-based violence and child protection. From this space, it contributes to the design, monitoring, and implementation of public policies in the Capital District, coordinating actions with governmental entities, social organizations, and international cooperation to strengthen the pathways for prevention, comprehensive care, and access to justice for women, girls, boys, and adolescents.
District Council for Social Policy

GENFAMI She is the ORG Advisor for the District Council for the Comprehensive Care of Victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence, and Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in the CDP, a consultative and articulation body that seeks to coordinate strategies for the development of public policies in social matters. Its purpose is to improve the quality of life of the population, especially the most vulnerable groups, through the formulation and monitoring of programs in areas such as education, health, security, economic development, and social inclusion. Expert Member and Representative of Specialized Civil Society Organizations GENFAMI actively participates in this committee as a specialized organization in child protection and the prevention of sexual violence. From this intersectoral space, it contributes its technical and territorial expertise to the strengthening of public policies, pedagogical strategies, and coordinated actions to prevent sexual violence, guarantee comprehensive protection, and promote safe environments for girls, boys, and adolescents in Colombia. It has provided technical inputs for national analyses and public policy formulation processes regarding gender-based violence affecting children and adolescents. Likewise, it has acted as an author and co-author of key technical documents, contributing expert knowledge, evidence-based advocacy, and best practices to guide intersectoral responses and strengthen the national regulatory framework.
